Responsibilities of a Material Handler
- Construction of mechanical equipment and forklifts.
- Take samples of customer products for laboratory analysis.
- Assign codes to customer products.
- Sanitize trailers and hopper vehicles ready for loading.
- Inspect equipment regularly every day.
- Load trailers and hopper cars following established protocols; Repair hopper traffic and containers as required.
- Move hopper cars and trailers to the warehouse building.
- Adhere to hygiene and safety standards in the workplace.
- Prompt completion of all projects and deliverables needed to maintain our on-time value.
- Prepares and processes all the necessary reports and related paperwork.
- Operate according to customer requirements, safety procedures, and company policies.
- Accept additional responsibilities as directed.
Requirements:
- High school graduate or equivalent: High school is worth it.
- Possession of valid forklift certification.
- Previous experience as a facilitator is beneficial.
- Expertise in large-scale manufacturing or routine manufacturing is advantageous.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and environmental concerns.

Work Conditions/Schedule
- Regularly climb stairs and ladders, work at elevated heights, and in dusty settings.
- Perform duties outdoors in various weather conditions; capable of lifting a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Safely and effectively operate essential mechanical tools.
- Participate in continental rotating shift work, including alternating weekends, nights (two weeks days followed by two weeks nights), and holidays.
- Work 12-hour shifts from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, totalling 80 hours over two weeks.
- Willingness to work overtime when necessary.
